To continue with our commitment to improve the quality of our patients, at IMED Hospitales we have held the 1st Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Conference (COT). Doctors from the IIMED Colón, Valencia, Levante , Elche and Virgen de la Fuensanta hospitals met last Friday, October 18, for a training and collaboration day. The meeting served as a space to share experiences, resolve doubts and discuss best practices in this specialty.
The event took place at the IMED Elche Hospital, where talks and presentations focused on key topics such as 'Elbow Pathology' developed by Dr. Irene Hernández Martínez, 'Wrist Arthroscopy' explained by Dr. Ana Verdejo, or also 'Glenohumeral Instability' presented by Dr. Eduardo Sánchez Alepuz.
These types of sessions not only strengthen the ongoing training of our professionals, but also reinforce our commitment to providing excellent medical care to all patients who trust IMED Hospitals.
In this sense, Montse Planelles, Corporate Director of Human Resources, is committed to continuing to promote these types of meetings: “They are very important for both the IMED group and our professionals because it is a demand that we saw they had to feel part of a team. In addition to that, being able to share their day-to-day work, their knowledge and that technical part that perhaps in a daily context they cannot do.
For his part, Rafael Giménez, Corporate Medical Director, speaks of “an opportunity for all professionals in Orthopedic SURGERY and Traumatology to share practices, challenges, and activities that can improve patient care, and that together we can distinguish the best practices and thus advance and offer assistance of the highest quality.”
Antonio Antón Lledó, Head of Traumatology at IMED Elche, also highlights some of the benefits of this type of meeting: “They provide knowledge and, above all, relationships with other professionals, and above all, they allow us to establish synergies between us when it comes to collaborating, working and even organizing ourselves better as a hospital group.”
