Last week, the Merco Healthcare Reputation Monitor ranking was released, which this year celebrated its tenth edition. The ranking analyses the reputation of all hospitals in Spain through surveys with professionals in the sector, patient associations, journalists and health managers, among others. The data obtained is analysed together with the main healthcare indicators of each centre to establish a ranking of public and private hospitals in all autonomous communities. IMED Hospitales had three of its hospitals in this ranking since last year. The IMED Valencia, IMED Levante and IMED Elche hospitals were incorporated in the 2023 edition, while the 2024 ranking recognises IMED Gandía, IMED San Jorge and IMED Colón as one of the best 100 private centres in Spain.
The medical director of IMED Hospitales, Rafael Giménez, has highly valued the inclusion of three new hospitals from the group in one of the most prestigious rankings in the sector. “It is very gratifying to see that the group's most recent projects, such as the hospitals in Gandía, Alcoy and our second hospital in Valencia, have already become a consolidated reality and that they also have the reputational recognition of the Merco ranking. This type of news reinforces our healthcare model based on the patient and supported by the most cutting-edge technology and a highly qualified team of professionals,” he said.
In this way, practically all of IMED's hospitals appear in this ranking, except for the new hospital that the group opened less than a month ago in the city of Murcia, the IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta, which due to time constraints has not been assessed for the preparation of this ranking.
IMED currently has seven hospitals and a total of six medical centres and polyclinics located in the Valencian Community and Murcia. In addition, IMED has two projects under development in Catalonia, which makes it one of the reference groups in private healthcare throughout the Mediterranean.
