Valencia, 13-06-18. IMED Valencia is since today the sponsor of the Valencia Basket Club. The agreement was known today in an event where the president of the Valencia Basket Club, Vicente Solà, the managing director, Paco Raga and the manager of IMED Valencia, Pedro Tomás, were present. On the development of this event the new female team player was announced, the valencian point guard Anna Gómez.
Through this agreement IMED Valencia hospital turns into the “official medical provider of the Valencia Basket”, so the players of the taronja staff will have medical check-up on Burjassot facilities and will have access to all diagnosis equipment and last generation treatment and the professional team that constitutes IMED Valencia.
During the presentation, the manager of IMED Valencia, Pedro Tomás, highlighted that “IMED Valencia is set as a reference hospital in sports health and prevention. Professional athletes as well as those from the Valencia Basket Club, or amateurs that consider sports as a hobby in which they invest each day more hours.” Moreover, he pointed out that the hospital has “specialized professionals and services in this area as sports cardiology or the sports check-up unit that is complemented with forefront technology as diagnosis equipment or robotic surgery.”
IMED Valencia support to the Valencia Basket Club is framed on the collaboration actions of IMED Hospitals Group with sports. In this sense, Pedro Tomás pointed out that sport: “combine very important values for the development of any society as effort or team work.”
The collaboration between IMED Valencia and the Valencia basket Club includes the hospital sponsor of the next season pass or its appearance on different places of the sports pavilion of the Font de Sant Lluís.
