Wednesday, November 27, 2024 – This morning the inauguration ceremony of the IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta Hospital in Murcia took place. It is a significant milestone for the hospital group as it represents IMED's first hospital outside the Valencian Community.
The event was attended by the Regional Minister of Health of Murcia, Juan José Pedreño, who emphasized the importance of this new facility in enhancing healthcare services for the city.
Ángel Gómez, CEO of IMED Hospitales, hosted the event and expressed the group's ambition for the new hospital to become a leading healthcare center for the people of Murcia. He also highlighted the group's expansion across the Mediterranean region and emphasized the value of IMED's care model, where a human factor and cutting-edge technology are dedicated to serving the patient.
The ceremony brought together 120 attendees, including hospital staff, political representatives, directors and insurance companies. The hospital, which opened its doors on November 11, has received a very positive reception during its first weeks.
