Since November 11, Murcia has had a new general hospital complete with all medical services. This is IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta, located next to one of the main roads of the Murcian capital with easy access from both the city center and from the areas on the outskirts. Its director and manager, Roberto Ferrándiz, is taking advantage of the first week of opening to the public to highlight in the media the unique features of this new and modern hospital.
COPE Murcia
Ferrándiz spoke to journalist Pedro González Molina on the microphones of Cadena COPE in Murcia to especially highlight the hospital's commitment to the latest technology: "We provide professionals with the best technology to care for patients in the best possible way."
Cadena SER
Cadena SER Murcia has also echoed the recent opening, and has also done so with Roberto Ferrándiz, who highlighted one of the hospital's priorities: “Patient comfort is essential, so we try to reduce waiting times, and provide maximum ease in making an appointment or accessing medical history through self-check-in with the IMED app.”
Onda Cero
ONDA Cero Murcia has also expressed interest in the opening of IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta, highlighting the new facilities: “45 beds, an emergency service operating 24 hours a day, 8 integrated operating rooms, and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 8 positions. Its services include an intervention room specializing in diagnostic studies and minimally invasive treatments, as well as a complete diagnostic imaging team.”
Intereconomía
Intereconomía Murcia also echoed the opening, highlighting the intention that the new centre will become a regional reference hospital in cardiology, traumatology and general surgery. With 250 professionals at the time of launch, IMED's objective is to form a team of health and administrative professionals of more than 350 people.
In addition to the radio interviews, many of the regional digital media have also reserved a space for IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta, and we can see that they have dedicated some opening pieces to it in Murcia Plaza, La Opinión de Murcia, La Verdad or Planta Doce.
