IMED San Jorge Hospital is the successor of the Sanatorio San Jorge in Alcoy. After a thorough refurbishment of its facilities and the opening of a new polyclinic to house outpatient consultations in the Cotes Baixes industrial zone, IMED has managed to offer a healthcare service of the highest quality to the residents of Alcoy city and its surrounding areas.

IMED now has two locations in the city of Alcoy: the IMED Alcoy Polyclinic, offering outpatient services in the main medical specialties, clinical analysis extraction area, and ilahy (the aesthetic medicine and surgery clinic); and IMED San Jorge Hospital, which provides inpatient services, 24-hour emergency care, operating theatres, diagnostic imaging service, physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit.
