Clinical Cardiology

The Clinical cardiology unit offers highly experienced cardiologists who are the reference point and coordinators between all the other professionals. They will attend to your requirements either in the outpatient clinic or on the hospital ward, where they will explain your problem and indicate the treatment required or arrange a consultation with another specialist if necessary, therefore ensuring exactly what the patient needs: high quality care.

This unit allows the performance of coronary studies for the early diagnosis and revascularization treatment of patients suffering from angina pectoris or acuta myocardial infarction. The cardiac surgery department of IMED Hospitals is made up of a team of multidisciplinary professionals including cardiac surgeons, perfusion technicians, anesthetists and theatre staff, lead by the prestigious heart surgeon Dr. Daniel Luna. This team evaluates and collaborates closely with cardiologists and intensive care department to ensure the highest guarantee during the surgical procedure and also the post operative period.

Cardio Genetic Unit

Certain heart diseases are hereditary. This unit allows the study and diagnosis of the patient and the family predisposition to suffer any alterations such as cardiomyopathy, certain arrhythmias or cot death (S.I.D.S). This unit not only reaches the diagnosis but also analyzes the DNA to establish if the condition has been inherited or if the patient is a carrier.
